“Devotion to one’s faith or religion.”

Other than providing us various Theology/Religion courses, the simple things like pausing every 12 noon, 3 o’clock in the afternoon and 6 o’clock in the evening for some prayers and encouraging students to attend the first friday masses are ways to help us become more devoted to our religion. Recollections are also being provided for students every year, which I find very helpful (and also a form of de-stresser from all the school requirements). And most especially, the concluding Retreat that our batch had last February at Caleruega, Batangas. Aside from the breathtaking views (and instagram worthy places) There was enough time to ponder, reflect and realize how God has always been so providing and blessing us…True enough to the retreat house’s tagline/motto – “close to nature, closer to God”

Another  very memorable experience was the Papal visit in 2015. UST is blessed to have been chosen as one of the places to visit in the Philippines by Pope Benedict XVI. It was definitely something I thank the Lord for. The Pope’s presence, seeing His vicar a few meters afar, felt like God is really with us.
